Originally from St Paul, Minnesota, where he joined the YCW, Mike Coleman became the national president of the US YCW. He was elected as a member of the IYCW International Executive Committee at the Second International Council in Rio de Janeiro in 1961. Later he worked extensively in the development of city housing particularly in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he still lives.
