Dominican philosopher and theologian, Marie-Dominique Chenu was a close collaborator of Cardijn and the nascent YCW during the 1930s. With Yves Congar and other Dominicans stationed at Le Saulchoir convent near Tournai in Belgium, he gave retreats to leaders and chaplains of the movement. Later he wrote extensively on the theology of work before becoming a key figure at Vatican II. |
