Fr Bernard Botte was a Belgian Benedictine monk at the Mont César monastery, who was a pioneer in liturgical change in the Church. He was also a friend of Cardijn, who often visited the monastery for retreats with YCW leaders. At Vatican II, he played a significant role in the drafting of Sacrosanctum Concilium, the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy. He also credits Cardijn and the YCW with a significant role in the movement for liturgical renewal. |
